WSIB rehab
Back to work, safely and with a plan.
Farms, trades, factories or on the road: when the injury is stopping the work, you need a practical plan with straight answers, not philosophy. We build the plan around the real demands of the job, keep everyone involved in the loop, and say plainly where things stand.
Hurt at work
Around here the work can be physical: farms and fields, barns, job sites, factory floors, delivery routes. When an injury stops you doing your job, the pain is rarely the hardest part. It is not knowing what you can safely do now, what you should leave alone, and how long that is going to last. Most people push through it far too long before getting it looked at.
WSIB rehab here runs through our chiropractic and physiotherapy care in Simcoe: one-on-one appointments, a plan aimed at the actual demands of your job, and progress you can measure in what you can lift, carry and do at the end of a shift.
No endless appointments, no vague goals. A defined plan, built with the end in mind: a safe return to work.
How it works
Workplace injuries in Ontario are funded through WSIB, and the process is more straightforward than most people fear, especially when care starts early. Some workers find us on their own; many are directed to book rehab through their claim. Either way, you land in the same place: a proper assessment and a plan aimed at your job.
Reporting a workplace injury to your employer is your responsibility, and it is worth doing even when it seems minor at the time. Your employer takes it from there with WSIB. Getting assessed promptly is what gives the claim its clinical record.
A full one-on-one assessment of the injury against the real demands of your job: what you lift, how long you stand, what the shift asks of your body.
Treatment for an approved claim is billed through WSIB rather than out of your pocket, so the cost of care is not another thing to sort out while you are off work.
The plan progresses from settling the injury to rebuilding the strength and tolerance your work requires, supporting a graduated return where that is what your recovery needs.
If the injury came from a collision rather than the job, it follows the auto insurance path instead. See car accident (MVA) rehab in Simcoe.
Who we keep in the loop
Most WSIB frustration is not the injury. It is the silence between the people involved in it. Good care means everyone hears from us.
Always knows which stage they are in, what they can safely do right now, and what has to improve before the next step. No guessing between appointments, and no wondering whether anyone is on it.
Clear, current information about what the worker can tolerate, so modified duties get planned around facts rather than caution, and the door back to the job stays open.
The clinical reporting a treating clinic is responsible for, completed properly and on time, so the claim keeps moving instead of stalling on missing information.
When all three hear the same story, claims move faster and returns to work stick.
Straight answers
We answer that by process, not by promise: your plan is measured against the actual demands of your job, and at every appointment you will know what you can safely do now and what still has to improve. Honest beats optimistic, because going back too soon is what puts people right back where they started.
Treatment for an approved WSIB claim is billed through WSIB rather than out of your pocket. What your specific claim covers depends on the claim itself, and your WSIB case manager can confirm what yours covers.
Often yes, and staying appropriately active usually helps recovery rather than hurting it. Your assessment tells us what your body can currently tolerate, which gives you and your employer something concrete to plan modified duties around.
No. In Ontario, chiropractors and physiotherapists are among the health professionals authorized to report a workplace injury to WSIB directly, so you can start here without seeing anyone else first. Report the injury to your employer, then book promptly, and your assessment gives the claim the clinical reporting it needs from the start.
