Good to know
Straight answers, before you ask.
Booking, first visits, concussion care, how care works here and billing, answered the way we would say it across the front desk.
No, you do not need a referral to see a chiropractor or physiotherapist in Ontario. Some extended health plans ask for one before they reimburse you, so it is worth checking your policy if you plan to claim.
You do not have to decide alone: book a free discovery call and we will point you to the right starting place. The two disciplines work as one team here, so you end up with the right care whichever way you start.
You get a full one-on-one assessment with your clinician, and you leave knowing what is going on, why, and what the plan is. We take your history, watch how you move, and build you a personalized rehab and progression plan with things you can start doing right away. It is just you and your clinician for the entire appointment, never double-booked.
Yes. Telehealth runs over secure video and is available to anyone living in Ontario. Book one by calling or emailing the clinic rather than online.
A phone conversation with the clinic, no cost and no commitment. You tell us what is going on and what you want back, and we tell you honestly whether we can help and what the first step would be, so you know where you stand before you ever come in.
Acupuncture here lives inside a chiropractic or physiotherapy plan rather than as a standalone service, because needling alone settles an area without addressing what irritated it in the first place. If ongoing standalone acupuncture is what you are after, we are probably not the right fit, and we will say so.
No, the goal is for you to stop needing us. Care is built in phases, you learn to manage things yourself as you progress, and we reassess along the way rather than booking you in indefinitely.
Yes, and we will not pretend otherwise. The difference is that you practice each one with your clinician in the room first, so you know how it should feel before you do it alone, and the list stays short enough to fit in your week.
No. We adjust when your body needs it, and plenty of plans involve little adjusting, sometimes none. Most appointments combine hands-on treatment with movement you practice in the room.
Looking for something specific? Every service page has its own questions too: start from our chiropractic and physiotherapy services in Simcoe.
You do not have to lose consciousness to have one, and symptoms can take hours to appear. Watch for headache, dizziness, fogginess, sensitivity to light or noise, unusual irritability, or changes in sleep after any impact. Worsening headache, repeated vomiting, seizures or confusion are emergency signs and need a hospital, not a clinic.
A normal scan is good news and it does not mean nothing happened. CT and MRI look for bleeding and fractures, which is exactly what an emergency department needs to rule out, and they typically come back clear after a concussion. A concussion is a change in how the brain is working rather than something that shows up on a picture, so what we assess is function: balance, eye movement, the neck, and how much effort you can tolerate before symptoms climb.
It is worth it because it replaces a judgement call with a comparison. Without a baseline, everyone is guessing whether your athlete is back to normal; with one, we compare them against their own healthy numbers for memory, reaction time and balance. It takes a single appointment before the season.
Yes, we direct bill most extended health insurance plans; coverage depends on your plan and policy. Bring your insurance details to your first visit, and your insurer can confirm exactly what your plan covers. If your injury happened at work or in a car accident, that care is funded through your claim instead, and our WSIB rehab and car accident rehab pages explain exactly how that works.
Treatment for an approved WSIB claim is billed through WSIB rather than out of your pocket. What your specific claim covers depends on the claim itself, and your WSIB case manager can confirm what yours covers.
In Ontario, treatment for injuries from a motor vehicle accident is generally funded through the accident benefits portion of an auto insurance policy. What that looks like for you depends on your policy and your claim, and your insurer or adjuster can confirm exactly what yours covers.
Many extended health plans cover both chiropractic and physiotherapy; the details depend on your plan and policy. Bring your insurance information to your first visit, and your insurer can confirm exactly what your plan covers. If you are unsure which service to book, start with the free discovery call.
Ask a person, not a page. The free discovery call exists for exactly this.
