Hurt in a crash? Start here.

Car Accident (MVA) Treatment in Simcoe, Ontario

A crash leaves you sore, shaken and suddenly managing an insurance claim. The care side of that should be the easy part: the same clinician every visit, someone who knows your story and what you are trying to get back to.

After a collision

Whiplash and the injuries that show up later

Whiplash, neck and back pain, headaches and that general shaken-up feeling are all common after a collision, even a low-speed one. Plenty of them do not arrive on the day. Symptoms often surface once the adrenaline settles, which is why getting assessed promptly matters more than feeling fine on the drive home.

You are a person here, not a claim number

After a crash, most people find themselves explaining the same story over and over to adjusters, forms and phone menus, while the injuries wait. Treatment runs through our chiropractic care and physiotherapy, right here in Simcoe, one-on-one and never double-booked. Your plan is mapped out from the start, with phases and a finish line, because the goal is your recovery, not a permanent spot in our schedule.

Hit your head, or just not feeling like yourself since the crash? Concussions from collisions are common and often missed. The concussion clinic screens for exactly that.

How it works

What happens after a crash

In Ontario, treatment after a motor vehicle accident is typically funded through your auto insurance rather than your health card, and there is a defined process for it. Here is the shape of it, in plain language.

  1. Tell your insurer, then get assessed

In Ontario you are generally expected to notify your insurer within seven days of the collision, and the accident benefits application follows from there. Your insurer or broker will confirm the specifics for your policy. You do not need to wait for any of it to be settled before starting care.

  2. We assess and build the plan

A full one-on-one assessment of what the crash did: neck, back, joints, and a concussion screen where the story calls for it. You leave knowing what is going on, why, and what the plan is.

  3. Rebuild in phases, then graduate

Reset, rebuild, achieve: the same staged approach as all care here, aimed at the goals you set with your clinician, whether that is work, driving, sleep or whatever else the crash interrupted.

MVA questions we hear every week

In Ontario, treatment for injuries from a motor vehicle accident is generally funded through the accident benefits portion of an auto insurance policy. What that looks like for you depends on your policy and your claim, and your insurer or adjuster can confirm exactly what yours covers.

No referral is needed to be assessed here, and you do not need a lawyer to start treatment. If your situation involves one, we simply provide the clinical records your claim requires as care proceeds.

Yes. You do not have to wait for the claim process to finish before being seen. An early assessment tells you what is going on, screens for the things that surface late like concussion, and puts your injuries on the record from the start. It is worth it. Whiplash, joint irritation and concussion symptoms commonly appear days after a collision, once the adrenaline settles. A prompt assessment gives you a baseline, catches what is brewing, and costs you one appointment rather than a season of wondering.

For extended health plans, yes, we direct bill most insurance companies where coverage allows. Motor vehicle accident claims work differently: you pay for your treatment, we submit it to your insurer, and your insurer reimburses you.
